Ten Years of Pure Silence
Well then, where does the time go indeed? Since there is no time in reality, the earth has rotated well over 3000 times since this website appeared ten years ago! Many thanks and blessings to all who have visited. Hopefully some have found a little consolation from the words offered herein on each of their respective journeys!
I started this site as a reflection of my own inward journey from thought to silence and I must say I feel as if I have not traveled very far, nor has humanity in the last ten years. We all seem still to be stuck in a mind based world, each still acting like individuals polarized against each other and ruled by the insanity of a mind conditioned by beliefs, opinions, mental positions and the like.
I guess if there is anything I have learned on my own journey is that the greatest power in the universe is the spacious present: one unencumbered by thought, emotion, mental projection or judgment. When I find I am deeply in touch my my own presence in the now, there is the only true freedom. My simple journey is to surrender to what is as much as I can. That is my only salvation!
A few have written me of late asking that I do not cease writing and I will honor their request, not out of my wish but as it seems the continual needs of many who are looking for some purpose, some justification, some small insight into finding the ever present now or that which we have called god or the energy of the universe.
On a lighter note I am still selling seafood and hoping to find a big customer who happens to share my spirit. In business, sadly, there is still an enormous portion of ego served daily which makes it very difficult both to survive and to prosper in integrity. Any large enlightened corporate seafood customers out there?
Also, I am still playing music, finally in a Beatle tribute band, something I have dreamt of since I was 5 years old. We have just put it together and we are quite good. Finally, I am thankful I am still with the woman of my dreams for 27 years now. She has been my rock and my stability and my anchor of true love and compassion most of my adult life. Blessings on her and my two wonderful children, now both grown adults! You all each my joy!
